Yosemite
National Park
May 5, 2018
On Friday, May 4th, Erica and I, plus some friends made our way up to the Sierra Nevada for some nice quality time outdoors. Being that we were in Yosemite, it was exceptionally high-quality time, and we couldn't have asked for a better weekend.
We arrived at Lost Claim Campground outside of Groveland, CA with just enough time in the evening to catch up on our lives and hang out by the fire. On Saturday morning, we woke up with our boots on and hit the road. Hetch Hetchy was the first stop, followed by a nice walk up Sentinel Dome and an extended tour around Lower Yosemite Falls. We concluded Saturday with a trip to Two Guys Pizza Pies and the Iron Door Saloon in Groveland. Fun fact: The Iron Door was established in 1852 and hangs its hat on the fact that it's the oldest saloon in California. Sunday morning, we rolled out, but not before a quick stop to another Groveland favorite: Mountain Sage, which hosts a great coffee shop and a gallery of Robb Hirsch's beautiful images.
